What you'll need to set up

Some setup · 35-60 min

Provision an OVHcloud account on the correct legal entity (ovh-eu / ovh-us / ovh-ca), create a Public Cloud project, then issue three separate credential sets the skill uses in parallel: an OVH API OAuth2 service account for the /cloud API and the ovh/ovh Terraform provider, an OpenStack project user plus openrc.sh for the OpenStack and Octavia CLIs, and an S3 access key pair for Object Storage.

When to use

Invoke when designing, provisioning, auditing or cost-tuning OVHcloud Public Cloud: instances, Managed Kubernetes Service (MKS), S3-compatible Object Storage, Block Storage, vRack private networking, or Public Cloud Load Balancer (Octavia). Invoke it for any workload carrying an EU data-residency or sovereignty constraint (GDPR, SecNumCloud, HDS), when re-platforming a hyperscaler design onto OVHcloud, or when the repo contains ovh_* Terraform resources, an ovh.conf, or an OpenStack openrc.sh pointing at *.cloud.ovh.net.

Do not invoke for OVHcloud Bare Metal, Hosted Private Cloud (VMware/Nutanix) or Web Hosting unless those are being bridged to a Public Cloud
